My Daughter's Hair

I'm seriously lost as to what products I should be using on her hair...at the moment I use pure Olive Oil and water...suggestions?! I really dont know how to type it now as well...it has a S shaped curl pattern in areas..and some tighter and more loose in areas. It's greatly needed! Thanks!!

i had the same issue with my daughter when she was baby too. i just used a gentle organic shampoo and conditioner and just used coconut oil as a leave in for her hair and to keep it moisturized.

She is too cute and such pretty smile. My daughter has mixed hair. She was born bald headed and she now has pass shoulder length when it isn't curly. Her hair can be straight on certain days and then extra curly sue the next...lol I use a Soft N Precious moisturizer creme from Walgreens in a pink and white container, along with DAX hair oil in green color on her roots. It grows her hair and the moisturizer creme helps in detangle and makes the hair sleek and smooth.

She is so cute, try Miss Jessie, the buttercreme, I used to use it on my son's hair.

How sweet! She is so precious. Try co-wahing (using conditioner as a cleansing agent) your baby's hair. Detangle her hair while her hair has conditioner on it. Use wide tooth comb or at least use a comb that has wider teeth than a rat tail comb. As she grows and her hair grows, you will see that the comb you use on her hair has to change as well. Detangle from the ends to the roots.

Once you have done that, moisturize it with a water based product. Remember that moisture comes from water. I use a home made leavein that consists of Abba Pure and Gentle Leave in (It is very mild) mixed with a little avocado oil and aloe vera gel. Once you moisturize it, seal in that moisture with an oil or butter. I use either shea butter or a butter that I make. I see that you already use olive oil. This can be used to seal in the moisture as well. Proceed to styling as you would like.

Tip: Apply the leave-in moisturizer in sections and work it into ther hair with your fingers or the comb that you used to detangle. This will help distribute the moisturizer and sometimes define her ringlets.

Take Care!

I meant Aloe Vera Juice instead of Aloe Vera Gel in my previous post.

Hi, there is a blog called "Beads, Braids, and Beyond" and the mom on that blog has some really good product suggestions if you would like to check it out. One of the product lines that she mentions often in her blog is called "Bee Mine" and after much research I have seen many good reviews on the product line. You may want to check it out. By the way your daughter is beautiful. God Bless!
